Your Privacy Matters
SlideMe Money is operated by SlideMeAPP, Inc. ("SlideMe," "SlideMe Money," "we," "us," or "our").
We understand that financial and personal information is sensitive. We are committed to protecting your information, being transparent about how information is used, and providing users with appropriate control over their information.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you access or use the SlideMe Money mobile application, websites, Universal Ask system, groups, communities, payment features, and related services.
By using SlideMe Money, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account and Profile Information. We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, username, profile photograph, mailing or residential address, account preferences and settings, and other information you voluntarily provide.
- Identity and Verification Information. Certain services may require identity verification. SlideMe or our service providers may collect legal name, date of birth, residential address, government-issued identification information or documents, photographs or selfies used for identity verification, tax or identification information when legally required, and information necessary for Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), fraud prevention, sanctions screening, or other compliance processes.
- Financial and Payment Information. When you use financial features, information may include bank-account information, account and routing information, payment method information, wallet addresses, funding sources, withdrawal destinations, transaction history, payment instructions, transaction amounts, fees, refunds and cancellations, and sender and recipient information. Certain financial information may be collected directly by our financial-service providers rather than by SlideMe.
- Universal Ask and Social Information. When using Universal Ask, groups, communities, messaging, or other social features, we may process Ask requests, Ask type or category, request descriptions, amounts requested, intended recipients or audiences, messages and communications, group memberships, community interactions, contributions and responses, and information voluntarily included in an Ask or profile.
- Device and Technical Information. We may automatically collect IP address, device type, device identifiers, operating system, application version, language settings, login activity, security logs, crash and diagnostic information, and general or approximate location derived from technical information where applicable. If SlideMe requests access to precise location, contacts, photographs, camera, microphone, or similar device resources, access will be subject to applicable device permissions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We may use information to create, maintain, and secure your account; provide SlideMe Money features; process or facilitate payments and withdrawals; facilitate Universal Ask requests; connect senders and recipients; support groups and communities; verify identity; authenticate users; prevent fraud and unauthorized activity; detect suspicious or potentially prohibited activity; perform required compliance screening; route transactions and requests; provide customer support; resolve disputes; send transaction and account notifications; improve our services and user experience; diagnose technical problems; maintain platform security; develop and improve products and features; and meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
We may also use information for other purposes disclosed to you when the information is collected.
3. Identity Verification, Fraud Prevention and Compliance
Financial services may require identity verification and compliance procedures. SlideMe and/or our service providers may process information to verify identity or businesses where applicable, prevent fraud, detect unauthorized transactions, conduct sanctions or compliance screening, investigate suspicious activity, protect users and the platform, and satisfy applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Some verification and compliance activities may be performed by third-party providers acting under their own legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Financial Accounts and Payment Information
SlideMe Money uses third-party financial infrastructure to provide certain financial functionality. Depending on the service being used, financial information may be transmitted to or processed by payment processors, financial technology companies, banking partners, identity-verification providers, blockchain infrastructure providers, or other financial-service providers.
SlideMe may not receive or store all sensitive financial credentials used to access your financial institution. When an external account is connected through an account-connectivity provider, SlideMe may receive information authorized by you, which may include account ownership information, account identifiers, balances, transaction information, or other financial information.
5. Third-Party Financial Services
Certain SlideMe Money financial features are provided, enabled, or supported by independent third-party providers. These providers may facilitate identity verification, bank-account connectivity, payments, money movement, wallet infrastructure, stablecoin or digital-asset infrastructure, settlement, cross-border transactions, fraud and risk screening, and compliance services.
Information necessary to provide these services may be transmitted to or collected directly by the applicable provider. Third-party providers may process information pursuant to their own privacy policies, contractual obligations, and legal or regulatory requirements.
SlideMeAPP, Inc. is a technology platform and is not itself a bank or depository financial institution. Financial products and services made available through SlideMe may be provided by third-party financial institutions or financial technology providers. Availability may vary based on jurisdiction, eligibility, transaction type, and provider.
For additional information regarding the financial infrastructure supporting SlideMe Money, please review the SlideMe Money Financial Services Disclosure.
6. Universal Ask, Groups and Communities
Universal Ask allows users to request financial assistance or support from other users, groups, communities, or designated recipients. When creating an Ask, you control certain information associated with the request and, where available, the audience permitted to view it.
Depending upon your privacy settings, information associated with an Ask may be visible to the public, friends or connections, selected users, groups, communities, or intended recipients.
Users should avoid placing unnecessary sensitive personal information in publicly visible requests, messages, profiles, or community posts. Changing or deleting an Ask does not necessarily remove copies previously viewed, shared, retained for transaction records, or retained where required for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.
7. SourcePay AI and Automated Systems
SlideMe may use automated technology and third-party systems, including SourcePay AI, to support certain platform functions. These systems may assist with Universal Ask processing, vendor or service-provider matching, transaction routing, fraud detection, security monitoring, risk analysis, customer support, and platform operations.
Automated systems may analyze information associated with requests or transactions to perform these functions. Where required by applicable law, SlideMe will provide applicable notices or rights regarding certain automated processing.
8. Blockchain, Stablecoin and Digital-Asset Infrastructure
Certain SlideMe Money services may utilize blockchain, stablecoin, or other digital-asset infrastructure provided by third parties. Depending upon the transaction, blockchain records may include wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, transaction amounts, timestamps, and network information.
Information recorded on a public blockchain may be publicly accessible and may be permanent or difficult or impossible to alter or delete. SlideMe does not control information after it has been permanently recorded on an independent public blockchain.
The use of blockchain or stablecoin infrastructure does not necessarily mean that every SlideMe Money transaction is recorded publicly or that every user directly interacts with digital assets.
9. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to provide SlideMe Money services; process or facilitate transactions; verify identities; connect financial accounts; provide Universal Ask functionality; prevent fraud; protect account security; provide customer support; comply with applicable laws or legal processes; enforce our agreements; or protect the rights and safety of SlideMe, our users, or others.
Recipients may include financial-service providers, payment processors, banking partners, identity-verification providers, cloud-service providers, security providers, professional advisers, analytics providers, and other vendors supporting SlideMe's operations.
We may also disclose information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
SlideMe does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Certain privacy laws may define 'sale,' 'sharing,' or similar terms differently. Where applicable, SlideMe will provide rights and disclosures required by those laws.
10. Your Privacy and Visibility Controls
Depending upon the features available to you, SlideMe may allow you to control who can view your profile, requests, or other content. Visibility options may include the public, friends, selected users, groups, communities, or other designated audiences. You are responsible for considering the information you choose to make visible to other users.
11. Communications and Notifications
We may send communications relating to account activity, security, transactions, requests, payments, service changes, customer support, and legal or policy updates. Certain communications are necessary for operating or securing your account and may not be optional.
You may manage certain optional notifications through SlideMe Money or your device settings. Marketing communications, where used, will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, misuse, or disclosure. However, no electronic system, application, network, or method of data transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should immediately report suspected unauthorized access.
13. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain transaction and business records, prevent fraud, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, contractual, or regulatory requirements.
Closing or deleting a SlideMe account does not necessarily result in the immediate deletion of every record associated with the account. Certain transaction, identity-verification, compliance, security, fraud-prevention, and financial records may be retained when required or permitted by law or when necessary for legitimate business purposes.
Information permanently recorded on a public blockchain may not be capable of deletion.
14. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their SlideMe Money account using the account-deletion functionality provided by SlideMe or another designated request method.
When an account is deleted, certain information may continue to be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required for transaction recordkeeping, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, financial compliance, legal obligations, or enforcement of agreements. Information processed independently by third-party financial-service providers may also be subject to those providers' retention requirements and privacy policies.
15. Your Privacy Rights
Depending upon where you reside and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to access personal information; request correction or deletion; obtain a copy of certain information; request information concerning certain disclosures; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based upon consent; exercise applicable data-portability rights; and appeal certain privacy-request decisions where required.
These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements. SlideMe will not unlawfully discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.
16. Children's Privacy
SlideMe Money is not intended for individuals who do not meet the minimum age or eligibility requirements applicable to the services they are attempting to use. Certain financial services may have additional age requirements imposed by applicable law or third-party financial-service providers.
SlideMe does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we learn that information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable requirements, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.
17. International and Cross-Border Processing
SlideMe Money may support services involving users, financial institutions, service providers, or transactions in multiple countries. Information may therefore be processed, transferred, or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where SlideMe or its service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws may differ among jurisdictions. Where required, SlideMe and its providers will use appropriate mechanisms for international transfers of personal information.
18. Third-Party Services and Links
SlideMe may provide access or links to services operated by third parties. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties, and users should review applicable third-party policies when using their services.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SlideMe Money develops, our services change, our providers change, or legal and regulatory requirements evolve. When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the application, website, email, or other appropriate communication method.
The effective or last-updated date displayed above will indicate when the policy was most recently revised.
